 I've been wanting to visit Asheville, North Carolina for a long time. So, when a thoughtful fellow traveler invited me to join her there, I jumped at the chance. I was immediately struck by how quickly the city was coming back from the flooding. I was also blown away by how cool it was. It has been described as "The heartbeat of the Blue Ridge Mountains. A mixture of genres, a hybrid of styles." And from what I saw, it is all of that and more.
