 In addition to all the desirable features mentioned in my previous post, Lambertville, New Jersey has a gorgeous waterside pathway running through it. The Delaware & Raritan Canal Towpath actually runs 15 miles from Lambertville to Frenchtown. And while it was originally built in the 1830's so mules could tow barges along the canal, today it is a stunning hiking and biking path.
