I met Glen Mura in Tempe, AZ in the early 1980's when he was a lead guitarist in a big hair rock band and an incredible fashion photographer. He gave all that up to move to a working farm in Panama, NY and raise his amazing daughter, Michaela. The town is so small there is one school for K-12. As luck would have it, my great friend Karen Boreyko purchased the farm house next door to Glen, so coming out here to visit has always been double the fun. This year it was just Glen and me, so of course he put me to work on the farm. We picked apples, harvested mushrooms, tromped through waist high brush to relocate a tree stand, hiked through the forest, and then made the drive into the next big town to grab dinner and see a movie. Here's the thing. Glen is one of the most interesting guys I've ever know and remarkably artistic and knowledgeable, so working alongside him has made me want to become a farmer too. Just kidding! I still prefer his rock and roll and photographing gorgeous models lifestyle, but hey, spending time on the farm with him is cool too. :-)
