I first bonded with Vanessa Warner 12 years ago when she was just 17. She conspired with her Mom, Paula Warner for me to do a surprise visit with my longtime friend and Vanessa’s Dad, Tim Warner. Well, by the time I got to their driveway in Florida, Tim was very hangry (hungry and angry) at his wife's and daughter's unusually slow pace. But when he realized it was just their ruse to stall him until I got there to surprise him, all was forgiven and we were all off to lunch. When we sat down the first thing Tim said to me was, “Well Les, it’s good to see you, but you have a choice to make. You can either drive as fast as you can out of here or you can stay and sit out Hurricane Charley”. Since I’d never seen a hurricane in Arizona I decided to stay. And while nearly everything in town was boarded up, Vanessa and I set out to shoot her Senior High School photos before the massive storm hit. Well, we survived, said Captain Obvious, and she recently invited me to visit her and her amazing housemates, Angie Blount, Michelle Tuckwood and Tuck in Buckhead, GA. Ever the consummate host and tour guide, Vanessa took me to Two Urban Licks, Atlanta Beltline, Paris On Ponce, Rockin Taco, Chihuly in the Garden, Peidmont Park and Ponce City Market. (See photos here.) And we were able to work in a photo shoot where we captured some of the many sides of her remarkable personality. These two are my favorites. On the left she is rockin’ kind of a Clark Kent secret identity look and on the right she is that mysterious masked super hero.

I'm glad you got to see more of Atl, Les. I hope you went to Chihuly in the Garden at night. If not, tho, it's still enjoyable. Buckhead is the part of town where my beloved church home is (Peachtree Rd. United Methodist Church). You covered a lot of territory. Hooray. The road continues to bless you and you, those you come in contact with. Continued Happy Trails! Comments are closed.
