A friend recommended Traveling Light: Releasing the Burdens You Were Never Intended to Bear to me when I was going through a rough patch. I figured that if I could get it for free from the library then it must be a sign. (Lord knows I’m thrifty. Literally.) Well, the book was there and so I read it. And the best way I can describe it is that it’s like a great big hug from heaven. And then God gives you a pony. :-) As for the author, Max Lucado? Well, he became my role model as a writer. He can make you laugh, cry, think and find peace –sometimes in the same paragraph. So if you know anyone who is weary from carrying their burdens, have them check this book out.
