 Lighthouses like Old Presque Isle Lighthouse are a really big deal in Michigan. Maybe it's because Michigan has more lighthouses (124) than any other state. See map here. Perhaps it's because some were built in 1825 and are still operational. And maybe it's because they are all different in design. But whatever the reason, we need to toast their diverse architecture and colorful history - preferably with a "light" beer. :-)
