New Richmond Bridge Park in Fennville, MI hosts one of the last swing bridges in America. The 400 foot bridge was designed with a section that would swing open - rather that lift up - to allow boat traffic to pass down the Kalamazoo River. It was originally built in 1879 and is now listed in the National Register of Historic Places. So if you love epic engineering with a dash of beauty and history, you ought to swing by. :-)
