 It was hard for me to believe that Detroit was once known as the "Paris of the Midwest" because of it's extraordinary culture, architecture and lifestyle. That's because when I grew up nearby, Detroit had deteriorated and become unsafe. But today, thanks to lifelong friends who took me on an incredible 7 hour walking tour of downtown, I am elated to say that Detroit is back and better than ever! And should I ever need a reminder, there's always the giant sign saying, "Stay Grand, Detroit" as seen from the gorgeous Campus Martius Park.
