 As you can tell by this interior shot of The Guardian Building in Detroit, an enormous effort has gone into the restoration and preservation of Detroit's spectacular historical landmarks. Today the Guardian Building - once called Detroit's Cathedral of Finance - is recognized as one of the most significant and striking Art Deco skyscrapers in the world. And just in case you forget where you are, there's a massive mural painted by artist Ezra Winter in the 1920's that will remind you how lucky you are to be in Michigan.
