 My quest to revisit my home state wouldn't be complete without mentioning Roosevelt High School in Wyandotte, MI. Not only is it place where my classmates and I learned about the world and our place in it, but thanks to some caring people who orchestrate class reunions and parties it has become a symbolic reason to frequently celebrate together. And while Covid concerns restricted us from gathering in large groups for now, I am honored to say that I have been welcomed to reconnect individually on this trip - and it has been amazing.
