 Holly, Michigan has a very colorful past. There was once a brawl between local rowdies and traveling circus workers which lead to a street being renamed as "Battle Alley". Then pro-Temperance Movement activist Carry Nation came to Hulk Smash! liquor bottles and threatened patrons with her mighty umbrella. And then there's the ghosts who live in the nearby Holly Hotel. So imagine my surprise when I walked into the warm and welcoming Battle Alley Coffee Company. It is simply lovely and their customers are treated like royalty. And as you can tell by the sign that Annie and Sam are holding up, it is proof that Battle Alley has now transformed into a very Happy Place.
