 The Clarkston Conservatory of Music was founded in 1961 and is located in one of the oldest buildings (1830s) in downtown Clarkston, Michigan. It is a nonprofit educational institution dedicated to bringing the joys and benefits of music to everyone. Under the direction of Dr. James Wilhelmsen, it provides in-person and remote instrumental and vocal instruction. The Clarkston Conservatory accept all ages and levels without audition, and their Kindermusik program which specializes in teaching for ages newborn- 7yrs is ranked number one in Michigan.
