A few years ago, I heard some friends consistently talk about how wonderful Yolanda and Jerry Davis were. Eventually my curiosity got the better of me, so I reached out to them on social media to make a connection. It didn't take long for me to realize all the praise I had heard was well deserved. So, since I am always looking to add more positive folks to my life, I managed to work in a visit with them on one of my road trips. And I'm happy to say, that one meet up began a tradition of visits with this incredible loving couple and their family over the last three years. On this year's stay in their beautiful home in Lexington, KY (AKA the horse capital of the world), we took the opportunity to just hang out. Jerry spoiled us by cooking fried green tomatoes straight from the garden. And for those of you who have never had real fried green tomatoes cooked southern style, all I'll say that they are so good they named a famous movie after them. During the visit we talked about our mutual passions of travel (they road tripped nonstop for several years), music (last year they turned me on to a mind blowing performance by Sturgill Simpson on Saturday Night Live), photography (Jerry is a remarkable photographer!) and health and wellness. That latter part lead to me doing a branding photo shoot for Yolanda's business. And as you can see, this vibrant 56 year old entrepreneur practices what she teaches and is a real joy to photograph.
