In the two nights we camped in the magnificent mountains, we had elk casually walk through our camping spot, ducks swim by in a parade and mountain goats stop to check us out. If your idea of experiencing the "wild life" has more to do with great pubs and restaurants, then check out the town of Banff, which is actually located inside the Canadian National Park. And contrary to 1990's R&B group, TLC's musical advice, "Don't Go Chasing Waterfalls", you should definitely make the hike to see the extraordinary Upper and Lower Falls in Johnston Canyon.
