When I saw that there was a town named Edison in Washington, I just knew I had to see it. After all, that's the name of my first born Grand Pal (pictured here in his long haired days) who is now 4 1/2. Edison was established in 1869 by Ben Samson (whom I'm guessing was a super strong guy with long hair) and later renamed after the inventor Thomas Edison. The tiny village (about a half square mile) has a little over 150 residents and is located near the Samish Bay (just saying Samish makes me hungry for lunch). :-) And speaking of hungry for lunch, it has the charming Edison Cafe and other inviting eateries for those looking to nosh. I know I sound like a typical granddad when I say I would like show him the town named after him (at least that's how I would spin it), so he could see his name all over the place. Until that day, I just hope he knows that while I am away from him when I travel, he is always near me in my heart. GrandPALes :-) PS. As all Grandparents know, we have to love all of them equally because they are always keeping track of who gets the most attention. So in the spirit of keeping the peace, here are my posts from this trip about my Pal, Edison (https://tinyurl.com/ybc4x367), my Pal JR Winston (https://tinyurl.com/y8ekz2ol) and my Pallerina, Lucie (https://tinyurl.com/yawj4ta3).
