As much as I love the adventure of car camping, there's nothing like sleeping in a super comfortable bed in the home of some wonderful people. And certainly that describes the welcome I received at the home of Laurie and Bob Stein near Seattle, WA. I knew I was in for a treat because I was fortunate enough to experience their great hospitality two years ago on my America The Beautiful road trip to all 48 contiguous states. And as I wrote in my post then, "What about Bob?", it was all good. But this year the hosts with the mosts took it to a whole new level. In the short span of time I was there, we went hiking, sight seeing, beverage sampling, lunching, plotted new things for me to see in the road ahead, and we enjoyed home cooked dinners with their lovely daughter, Alexandra. And Bob and I even managed to work in a ride on the car ferry that took us directly into downtown Seattle. So Laurie and Bob, if you're reading this, thanks again for keeping the welcome mat out. And for that wonderfully comfortable bed that transformed me from road wearier to road warrior practically overnight. Cover Contents Books Home Hire Stories Comments are closed.
