I have known Linda Mussleman (what male bodybuilder wouldn't kill for that last name?!?) ever since we worked at Vemma Nutrition in Scottsdale, AZ together. So when she heard I was going to visit Bend, Oregon, she offered to give me a guided tour of her new town. However, when she told me she'd meet me at the loony bin, I was hesitant because it had taken me years to break out of the last one. But when I leaned it was a great coffee shop named Looney Bean, and not an institution with men in white coats and butterfly nets, I was all for it. Linda's guided tour was a walk in the park - Drake Park to be exact. It runs along Mirror Pond and is adjacent to the very quaint downtown. From there we went to window shop the many businesses, restaurants and breweries in the area. In the process, Linda told me a little about Bend's colorful history and how it now serves as a playground all year round for sports lovers. It was a wonderful morning exploring a great new town (for me) in terrific company. So I want to thank Linda for making and taking time to show me around the Bend. It was simply terrific.
