Before I talk about the breathtakingly beautiful road named the Tunnel Of Trees, let me give you a recommendation to take in the northern Michigan coastal cities of Traverse City, Charlevoix, Petosky and Harbor Springs on your way there. Then take the Tunnel Of Trees and end up at the subject of my next post, Legs Inn (the map to that route is here https://bit.ly/2A01plx).The best way I can describe those cities and the visual wonders on that route is that I'm ticked off that it took me this long in life to find it - especially because I actually grew up in Michigan - and that I am definitely going back. The Tunnel of Trees is often called the most scenic road in Michigan. It is located on M-119 which hugs the coastline of Lake Michigan. It is a little over 15 miles long and receives it's distinct name and look for the hardwood forest that seem to form a canopy over the two lane highway. And driving it isn't getting from point A to point B... It's pure entertainment in Pure Michigan. Cover Contents Books Home Hire Stories Comments are closed.
