 I visited my Godson and his wonderful family in Alameda, CA. They were kind enough to take me to dinner at Admiral Maltings and on walking tours of their vintage neighborhood. It's a gorgeous area filled with Victorian style homes and quaint shops and restaurants. But the best part for me was to meet the newest addition to the family and see how much she reminds me of my Godson at that young age. It was a gentle reminder of how quickly time passes and how important it is for me to be present in those precious moments.
