 I wanted to see this monument in Frankfort, KY dedicated to Daniel Boone for two reasons. First and foremost, he was a legendary frontiersman. Secondly, I saw a Davy Crockett statue on a previous road trip, and those two American heroes are forever linked because one actor, Fess Parker played both parts when I was a kid.
