I went to Barrie, Ontario on the advice of Hall'e, Foster and Jordi. It is a great lakeside city with a bunch of interesting spots. My personal favorite was Flying Monkeys Craft Brewery where a brilliant graphic artist was given free reign to go ape (obglitatory monkey pun) and create a floor to ceiling visual experience. The city of 135, 000+ has a lot of cool signs and places with catchy names like Fresh Fo U and Wild Thingz (which made my heart sing. It made everything...groovy...Wild Thingz - link to song here). But the one I liked best - hey, remember I have a weird rhyming name so I'm a little biased here - was Sampson's Salon. As I remember reading that story in the Bible, the whole haircut thing didn't end well for Sampson. So isn't that like naming a place Custer's Last Yogurt Stand And Arrow Sharpening Store? Just sayin'.
