I made it as far east as Halifax, Nova Scotia before making an executive decision to start heading west. You see it was raining hard - something we folks from Arizona forget about - and I realized that any photos I shot would look soggy. So I car camped in another creepy place and then woke up and power drove until I hit sunshine - and the glorious realization of how remarkably beautiful Canada is. I decided to stop in Edmundston, New Bruswick where they were having a farmer's market and this incredible water slide that looked to be a mile long. And since I was becoming mildewed from the previous day's rain, I stopped into Energym in nearby Saint-Jacques for a much needed shower and workout. Feeling like a new man, I power drove to Montreal, Quebec so I could watch the UFC fight that night in the company of a bunch of fans cheering in both French and English. The fight rang long, so I drove only until I reached a truck weighing station and the nice guard told me I could crash there for the night.
Note: If you have read the last three posts, you probably realize that: A. I sorta have a plan ...sometimes. B. Car camping in my Hyundai, Tucson is comfortable, but not always glamorous. C. The way I travel makes it affordable for me, but it is not for everyone. Having said that, I would encourage everyone to do their version of travel in Canada and the US - because as any road trip warriors out there will tell ya, there is nothing like experiencing these places for yourself.
