Parker, CO was the last small town I discovered on the final leg of my summer road trip, to which I owe a special thanks to my gracious hosts, John, Patti and Stephanie Taylor. And what it lacked in size it more than made up for in art, culture, eateries, shops and great use of all the surrounding natural beauty. Of particular note were the giant ball and jacks in the Parker Creative District and the bronze statute of the Self Made Man. Parker is so surprisingly quaint I am definitely putting it on my list of places next time I get to the Rocky Mountain State.
