Eventually all good things must come to an end - even wonderful four month long road trips.
So I was feeling a little blue as I drove the final leg from Salida, CO back home to Anthem, AZ. But apparently the Good Lord had one more pleasant surprise in store for me as I "just happened" to route myself through Pagosa Springs, CO. On a lark, I decided to stop into Musgrave Wildlife and Wood to see if resident photographer and sculpture, Gary Musgrave was in. Sure enough he was. AND he had time to go next door to the Riff Raff Brewing Company for a bite. But wait. There's more. While we were there we ran into the amazing photographer, Sarah Curry. And as regular readers of my travel blog will remember from my post Picture Perfect Photographers, I met these two remarkable artists when I passed through their town months earlier. So getting to spend a little time with both of them gave my road trip the picture perfect ending it needed. As I was getting ready to leave, I noticed this sign in Gary's place that said, "Every picture has a story. You just have to ask." I couldn't help feeling how well that expressed the truth for the three of us, and everyone who has a great love for photography. And is my hope that when you see some of the photos I have taken along this journey it makes you ask questions, with one very important one being this.... When will YOU go on your own picture perfect adventure? I hope it is soon! And with that said, I look forward to enjoying stories from the road YOU traveled. :-) Cover Contents Books Home Hire Stories Comments are closed.
