 Hotel Paisano is a gorgeous place in the center of Marfa, TX. The groundbreaking ceremony took place in October, 1929 just days before the start of the "great depression". It opened in June, 1930 and soon became known as "the most elegant hotel between El Paso and San Antonio". In June, 1955, Warner Brothers made Hotel Paisano it's headquarters for the filming of Giant. And so James Dean, Elizabeth Taylor, Rock Hudson and the other cast members and crew made the Hotel Paisano their gathering place. And today the hotel still honors that unique period in it's storied history with a "Giant" memorabilia room.
