In addition to the great places mentioned in my previous post about Callicoon, NY, the quaint village also has a pretty downtown area that artfully blends tradition and innovation. And since one of my favorite things to see on my travels is restored movie theaters, I took a special delight in seeing the Callicoon Theater. The Theater was built in 1948 in a "Quonset Hut" style building. It hosts 350 seats set in a historic art deco ambiance that is complimented by modern day digital projection equipment and Dolby surround system.
