I recently discovered a place like no other - Michigan Brewing Works in Williamston, MI. It's history reads like fable. Some guy (his name is Bob) discovers he's really good at brewing beer. He eventually buys a 100-year-old farmhouse on a hill and opens a bar in it. It's so remote there's only way there. The atmosphere feels like you are walking into your favorite Uncle's house, and he's growing garlic in the back, which is good because...no vampires. And one day he'll have his magnificent barn fixed up for dances and weddings. So yeah, you gotta go see it before somebody tries to steal it's soul and authenticity. Because it may not be Pure Michigan (state slogan), but it's real Michigan (and that's a good thing). :-)
