Some good friends invited me to a concert in downtown Utica, Michigan. Perhaps it was because I grew up in Utica when it was a sleepy little town or perhaps it was because it was a free event, but I wasn't expecting much. But boy was I pleasantly surprised when the local band, The Stumbling Mice started playing at the July 15th Weekend Unwind event. Their eclectic mix of rock and rhythm and blues was simply terrific. So many thanks to the boys in the band - Bob Monteleone on guitar, Joe Sykes on bass, Myles Rutledge on drums and Tom Blower on guitar - for putting on a great show.
