 I went to Camp Fair Haven, a Lutheran-based weeklong sleepover camp in Milford, MI from age 9 to 13. And I became a Junior Camp Counselor there when I was 14 (that was such a big deal for me). The wonderful camp is now gone, but what remains is a town that will make you a "happy camper" when you visit it. :-) They've got the Proving Grounds coffee shop, which is a nod to the nearby GM Proving Grounds. They've got a hair and makeup salon named after a Spice Girl (just kidding, Posh) and a very colorful Burger Joint, just to name a few of the amazing places in the cute downtown.
