I’ve met some incredibly kind and generous people on Facebook and Debbie Majerek is certainly at the top of that list. At a time when I was asking for suggestions on how I might help someone in need, she was the one to pick up the phone to offer counsel and support – even though we had never met. So when I just happened to notice that she was on Route 1 of my trip, I told her I’d like to meet up. She was gracious enough to host me AND give me an incredible tour of St. George, Utah. Like the sign says in one of the photos, that part of the country was Virgin territory for me. :-) We drove through Zion National Park where herds of horned animals (I think they were sheep. I was going to ask, but I was too sheepish. Groan!) grazed by the roadside, the vistas were startling, and oh yeah, the scary mountaintop roads with no guardrails almost made me need a change of underwear. We also took in the incredibly charming Coyote Gulch Art Village and blissfully peaceful Red Hills Desert Garden. So I’d like to offer many, many thanks to Debbie and her incredible son, Jordan for making me feel so welcome and helping me experience the brand new Amazing Place at the very start of my trip!
