This e-book has a very simple format. It is one of my images coupled with a powerful quote from some of the world's most life-affirming minds. My goal was to give some reassurance and courage to those who needed it. But what I never expected was all of the inspiration, hope, love and support that was returned to me and shared with others. (See final chapter Thank You for more on this.) To make it easier to copy, paste and share these individual links, I put them in the Table Of Contents below. I also added key quick links at the bottom of each page and included links to the songs quoted next to the artist's name where applicable. And lastly, I put links to the published Facebook posts in the date directly below each photo for those who wish to add their own encouraging words. In doing so, I hope these messages of hope find their way to those who really need them. Les Maness StoriesFromTheRoadLesTraveled.com Table Of Contents 01. Encouraging Words 3. 02. America was not built on fear. America was built on courage, on imagination and an unbeatable determination to do the job at hand. Harry S. Truman Les Maness StoriesFromTheRoadLesTraveled.com Contents Books Home Hire Stories April 3, 2020
I keep fighting voices in my mind that say I'm not enough Every single lie that tells me I will never measure up Am I more than just the sum of every high and every low? Remind me once again just who I am, because I need to know You say I am loved when I can't feel a thing You say I am strong when I think I am weak You say I am held when I am falling short When I don't belong, oh You say that I am Yours And I believe, oh I believe What You say of me I believe Lauren Daigle, "You Say" Les Maness StoriesFromTheRoadLesTraveled.com Contents Books Home Hire Stories April 4, 2020
When you walk through a storm Hold your head up high And don't be afraid of the dark At the end of a storm There's a golden sky And the sweet silver song of a lark Walk on through the wind Walk on through the rain Though your dreams be tossed and blown Walk on, walk on With hope in your heart And you'll never walk alone Rodgers and Hammerstein, "You'll Never Walk Alone" Les Maness StoriesFromTheRoadLesTraveled.com Contents Books Home Hire Stories April 5, 2020
When I am down, and, oh, my soul, so weary When troubles come, and my heart burdened be Then, I am still and wait here in the silence Until you come and sit awhile with me You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains You raise me up to walk on stormy seas I am strong when I am on your shoulders You raise me up to more than I can be Josh Groban, "You Raise Me Up" Les Maness StoriesFromTheRoadLesTraveled.com Contents Books Home Hire Stories April 6, 2020
You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, 'I have lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.' You must do the thing you think you cannot do. One of the things I learned the hard way was that it doesn't pay to get discouraged. Keeping busy and making optimism a way of life can restore your faith in yourself. Lucille Ball Les Maness StoriesFromTheRoadLesTraveled.com Contents Books Home Hire Stories April 8, 2020

Be courageous. I have seen many depressions in business. Always America has emerged from these stronger and more prosperous. Be brave as your fathers before you. Have faith! Go forward! Thomas A. Then I shall fumigate, help purify the air, administer medicine and take it. I shall avoid places and persons where my presence is not needed in order not to become contaminated and thus perchance inflict and pollute others and so cause their death as a result of my negligence. If God should wish to take me, he will surely find me and I have done what he has expected of me and so I am not responsible for either my own death or the death of others.
