Every high school thinks that their school was the best of all time - and ours is no exception. The Classes of the 60's from Wyandotte, MI Roosevelt High School loves reconnecting, reminiscing and creating new memories so much that we get together nearly every year now. This year's event was even sweeter because we saw people we hadn't seen in many years. And as you can tell by these photos and all the others posted on my site - a good time was had by all. So a special thanks go out to the organizers Bonnie Hasper Thornton, Mick McLaughlin, Diane Niebrzydowski Featherston, Suzanne Rainey Irick and Linda Bower Garant who put it all together. It was a blast!!
Update 2017: I feel extraordinarily blessed to still hang out with "kids" from school when I travel. So here's a few more posts about those good times here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here and here. And yes, no matter what they try to tell ya...these boys all had to swim naked in gym class (how WEIRD was that?!?), the girls used to iron their hair, nearly all of us got whacked with a huge paddle nicknamed the "board of education", a date would be piling into the family car to cruise McDonalds, seeing Bob Seger play our high school dances or going to Looney Rooneys, and whether they'll admit it or not, they all loved watching the submarine races in the 'dotte.
